One of the challenges I’ve had with conducting my Annual Review in the past is that looking back on the year wasn’t always something I was really excited about doing.
I’d see these posts where people talked about all the great things that were happening, and while I knew I had some great things too, I also had a whole lot of not so great things going on.
Through research, self-discovery, and practice, I learned that my memories were being clouded by strong emotions and biases that were making me feel like completing an Annual Review was a waste of time, and that simply wasn’t the case.
I’ve learned that with some simple strategies, I can gain clear, valuable insights from all my past experiences, even those that weren’t so happy. Reflecting on my past experiences, both the good AND the bad, has been life changing for me.
This video gives you a sneak peak of Lesson 1.2 – Recognizing and Overcoming Reflection Challenges from my Master Classroom: Reflection & Roadmap course.
